On Saturday, August 8th, 2006, The Bat City Diecast Collectors celebrated their 1st anniversary again. We had members and guest from Houston visit, along with at least half of the local club members. Papa John brought a great looking Bat City Club cake and members enjoyed cookies and sodas as well. This was a milestone for the club. When we took the hiatus there were only 7 members left back in 2004. At the start of this second 1st anniversary we had 35 members, when we closed the meeting we were at 37, so the club is still growing. It's been a great year for building our membership.

The Bat is Back!

We are now meeting regularly at the Super 8 at 8128 N IH 35 on the second Saturday of every month, unless otherwise noted. The room is on the first floor to the left as you pass the lobby. If you happen to be traveling to the area when we have a meeting or event scheduled, come on by. If you live in or around Austin and are interested in joining fellow collectors for die-cast trading and selling, and various other club activities, please don’t hesitate to email Bob at BatCityHWC@austin.rr.com. The next meeting will be held on August 9th, 2008. Set up starts at 8:00 am and the meeting usually gets started between 10:00 and 10:30

Bat City Club Picnic was held on October 20th

On Saturday October 20th, Bat City had their first BBQ/Picnic since the club started back up. We had 55 adults and kids come for the fun, food and socializing.

Our next meeting is August 9th, 2008. Set up starts at 8:00am, meeting runs until noon.

About Bat City Hot Wheels Collectors

The club-- Based in Austin, Texas. Meetings are now held on the 2nd Saturday of each month. The purpose of the meeting is to welcome new members, communicate the latest Hot Wheels news, and provide an open forum for questions and answers. Before and after each meeting, the club participates in a buying/trading/selling session. The purpose of this session is to help out fellow collectors acquire diecast related items for their collections, and to give collectors a place to sell or trade their unwanted or unneeded diecast items.
